For us, regionality and Fairtrade are not a trend, but a matter of course. Short transportation routes, sustainable products and support for local producers ensure that enjoyment, the environment and community go hand in hand.

The heat for our hotel rooms and hot water comes from our pellet heating system, which supplies the entire Bienenberg via a small heating network
Anyone who orders tap water in the Bienenberg restaurant will receive a carafe of fresh Bienenberg water from the restaurant's own spring for 5.00 francs. The proceeds are passed on in full.
Together with the organization Water for Water (WfW), we support water and education projects in Zambia.
In other words, we are exporting some of this precious commodity to regions in need.
One in 7 people today still has no access to clean drinking water. That must give us pause for thought.
With WfW, we can set an example for sustainable consumption and raise awareness that drinking water is not a matter of course, but a great privilege.
